The Persistence of Vision

A MYTH?

The persistence of vision is what makes the moving picture move. It is interesting that the cause of this phenomenon is called “iconic memory,” a form of trance, not just the mind’s ability to categorize visual information.

This blog has as much to do with memory as with vision. I’m writing down the films I watch as I watch them so that I don’t forget. I’m writing down thoughts about those films, about films in general, and about my own films… so that vision remains persistent.
